Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to what Toronto drivers ask us most. Don't see your question? Call us — we're happy to walk you through it.

How long does a windshield chip repair take?
A typical chip or short crack takes about 30 minutes from setup to finished cure. Because we come to you, there's no waiting room or vehicle dropoff on top of that — most customers fix their chip on a coffee break.
Will my insurance cover the cost?
Most comprehensive auto policies in Ontario cover chip repair with no deductible — meaning zero out-of-pocket cost — and cover full windshield replacement subject to whatever deductible is on your policy. We bill major Canadian insurers directly so you don't have to chase forms or wait for reimbursement. Send us your policy details and we'll confirm coverage before any work starts.
Do I really need ADAS calibration after a windshield replacement?
If your vehicle has driver-assist features — lane keeping, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, forward collision warning — then yes. Those cameras and sensors are mounted to the windshield and tuned to its exact position. After replacement they must be recalibrated to function correctly and safely. We perform both static and dynamic calibration on-site as part of the job, so there's no separate trip to the dealer.
How soon can I drive after a new windshield is installed?
The urethane adhesive that bonds the windshield to your vehicle needs time to cure to full strength. With the high-quality adhesives we use, safe drive-away time is typically about 60 minutes from when the glass is set. We always confirm the exact safe drive-away time with you before we leave so there's no guessing.
When is a repair enough, and when do I need a full replacement?
As a rough rule: a single chip the size of a toonie or smaller, or a crack under about 6 inches that sits outside the driver's primary line of sight, is usually repairable. Damage in the driver's line of sight, multiple chips clustered together, cracks longer than 6 inches, or damage that has reached the inner glass layer typically calls for replacement — because the structural integrity of the windshield matters in a collision or rollover. Send us a photo of the damage and we'll give you a straight answer.
Where can your mobile team come to do the work?
Anywhere reasonably flat and accessible across Toronto and the GTA — home driveways, condo visitor parking, office parking lots, apartment garages in most cases. We bring everything we need, including our own water and power for the equipment. If you're not sure your location works, just ask.
What happens if it rains during my appointment?
We bring portable canopies for outdoor work, so light rain usually isn't a problem. For chip repairs the area needs to be dry, but we can shelter it. If the weather is genuinely extreme — heavy storm, freezing temperatures — we'll reschedule rather than risk a poor bond. Quality first.
What exactly does the lifetime warranty cover?
For as long as you own the vehicle, we cover our workmanship, any air leaks, any water leaks, and the calibration accuracy of any ADAS work we did. If something goes wrong, we come back and fix it at no charge. The warranty does not cover new damage from rocks, collisions, or anything that happens to the glass after we leave — but that's what insurance is for.
